NRA Logos on Package Products

I'm a candy collector collecting old candy wrappers to build my vintage candy wrapper collection for all to view.

If you find a candy wrapper (or product label) with a NRA logo on it then you have a wrapper that was produced between the years 1933 and 1935. According to the USA’s National Archive the NRA was established in 1933 and ran through 1935. The National Recovery Administration (NRA) was established in 1933 to administer provisions of Title I of the National Industrial Recovery Act (NRIA) of 1933. Then in 1935 the U.S. Supreme Court declared the mandatory codes of the NRIA unconstitutional.

I find myself sometimes having a hard time establishing a decade to wrappers that were produced between the 1920s and the 1940s, since the packaging labels tend to have similar artwork styles. So, even though the logo was short lived, it’s still a good tool in helping to date packaging labels.
